We arrived in Sula, MT on the evening of the 5th and met Leah at the Ranch House where she lives for the summer. We stayed in their house and unpacked our things and then just lounged around that night and watched the France and Portugal World Cup Soccer game.
The next morning Leah invited me to go on a run with her. So we left and I only made it 2 miles before the altitude changed my breathing and I was really feelin it so I did sprints the remainder of the 3 miles. Its a gorgeous run along the ranch trail so I got to see a wonderful area of the ranch. That afternoon I went on my first horse ride and we took the same 5 mile loop that we ran earier that day but this time it took 1.5 hours. I saw a deer on the side of the trail and warned everyone but the horses didn't listen to me and got scared by the deer and took off running. Man, was that interesting because I had my camera in my hand and had to pull on the reins and hold onto the horn. I survived it though. My bum and legs were really sore afterwards.
The next day Katie and Casey had arrived and saw them first thing in the morning because they came in the night before really late. Us girls went up to the lodge while the boys went to hunt for gofers on the property. It was great to just hang out and talk about our children and what we do with our time as mothers. Later on they all went paintballing while I stayed and watched the children. I wasn't interested in that so I stayed and watch Baby Einstein with all the little ones it was a great time. That night we put the children to bed in pack and plays while we watched the documentary about the NY Doll and then stayed up and talked about life and what are plans are and about how we all got engaged. It was a great day!
The next morning we had to head out for Idaho and we were bummed to leave but at the same time we were going to meet up with my family so it made it ok to leave.
