Reeghan and Carmel

We had to tell Reeghan that Carmel (Kaylee's Rabbit) had died. Reeghan enjoyed playing with Carmel and she still remembers the good times she had with her.

So this was a memorable experience to talk to your child about death and how we go to live with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ when we die. So we told her that Carmel had died and she said, "Carmel got ouies?" and then we told her that Kaylee was sad that it had happened and Reeghan said, "Is Kaylee ok?"

Then we told her about where we go when we die and then she said "Carmel went to the Father to live and she is getting married and Heavenly Father will make her better."

Children are so wonderful and they are soaking up everything that we teach them as their parents. It was such a wonderful experience for me and I am anxious to have other teaching moments with my girls about the Plan of Salvation and how they can return to live with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ again.
