The scrapbook paper that is my inspriation

The Toddler Quilt
Upclose fun stiches I got to play with
I am excited to introduce my new love of sewing. I made this quilt with the help of my dear and creative friend, Chris Stokes. She is amazing at what she does with color and matching. We started off with a scrapbook page to find our colors for the material. Then we took a quilt pattern out of the Pottery Barn Kids magazine and copied it. It was very simple to make because of the strips. I made a Toddler and Twin size quilt. I am in the process of making a Twin Duvet Cover, Shams, Pillowcases and Sheer Curtains. I am thinking of making a bumper also for the crib. We also made this awesome ribbon lamp shade decoratation. I will show a picture when its all complete.
I used Chris's machine and I fell in love with it. Its a Janome Memory Craft 6500. Its one my wish list for christmas because I just found out that Chris is moving to Rexburg so I am devestated for one she is a great friend and a great listener to all my outrageous ideas and two she is my right hand gal for projects that I do around my house. I am going to miss her.
