We celebrated with his family at our monthly birthday party. Ryan and Susan were our hosts and we had a fabulous time. The dinner was wonderful and delicious and Susan you need to send me your recipe for the crock pot chicken stuff! Then we had cake and ice cream.
The best part of the night was our motivational speech hour. The hosts are the speakers and Susan spoke to us about the importance of journal writing. She told us that she had gone to her journals from when she was 13 and wrote about her future family. She told us if she hadn't written that down she would have lost that memory forever. I thought to myself how I have had many things happen in my life that I don't write on paper and now I have nothing to show for it. This blogging thing is pretty great but how long will it last. I need to print out all my posts to make sure I have these memories preserved somehow.
Ryan then had his turn and talked about the Law of Importance and for me to explain it would probably not make sense so I will just give you the website and you can go find out for yourself what I learned about. It was so facinating and the guy, Woody, is one of Ryan's friends and Ryan actually created the website. So here it is www.thelawofimportance.com

you really should put all your posts/pictures onto something that won't "crash" in the future. Think about it...if this site goes down, you loose everything you wrote. My suggestion would be to put everything into a photo book. http://www.shutterfly.com/shop/product_c18000/Photo_Books. They are so great! I am in the process of putting all of our pictures/public journal entries into 12x12 books. It is soooo much fun and a good way to journal and scrapbook at the same time.
Oh, and hApPy BiRtHdAy trent!!!!
