Memorial Day Weekend / Chapman Family Reunion

FRIDAY 23rd

The weekend was our annual Chapman Family Reunion at the compound! Which that is my in-laws and Trent's Aunt Chris and Uncle John houses that all next to eachother. The setup is quite nice especially when we all get together. We started the weekend with a get together at our place with the young marrieds and all the children. The children all packed into the toy room and watched a movie while the adults played mafia (sp?) It was a nice time and quite entertaining to play the game. Trent was feeling hungry so he whipped up some cookies to make for everyone. What a nice guy!

SATURDAY 24th

I wasn't able to attend the activites for this day because it was my day to work in the temple. It was a wonderful but very busy day with 20 weddings! It must have been because of a holiday weekend. So I worked from noon to 5pm. While I was gone the Trent and the girls went to our stake center and all the adults played basketball and then afterwards they all went to the beach. Trent was tuckered out so he went home instead and took a nap with the girls and then they planted our garden.

SUNDAY 25th

All the family came to our ward and I happened to be substituting for my neighbor, Karen, who has the CTR 6 & 7 class combined. Well I didn't expect that half of the cousins were in that age range so I had 15 children in my class! So my sister-in-law Amy came in with me, Thank you Amy! It was pretty entertaining and overall they were all participating very well and listening so I was lucky. Karen would have had a melt down so I was glad it was me and not her that day. After church we had lunch all together and then some started the game of Lightning and it got most of the family involoved. It was fun to see even some of the children in on the adult action of the game. We did an all girls game and it was the only one I played and I just happened to win it! Go pregnant one! Later that night we had a talent show and us girls decided to get in on it so we took about an hour to prep our dance for the family. We did it to a children's song that a group, Inside Out, sings. It was so fun to do as you can see in the picture above.

MONDAY 26th

Started the day with a flag ceremony in the morning that some of Trent's brothers prepared. After that the children's games began in the yard. I didn't take any pictures at all during the weekend so Susan thank you I stole some of them from you. We ended our weekend at the San Marcos Cemetary.
