Square Foot Gardening

Trent noticed that his parents where starting up their garden and he got a little ansy as well to do one for us. He looked into Square Foot Gardening and read all about it about 3 weeks ago on a Sunday. He mapped out his plan of action as to what was going where and he built the boxes and put in the soil mixture. He didn't plant them unitl Memorial day weekend and then just recently we had to replant because they weren't getting enough sun in the location we started in so he picked them up and moved them to the sunny side of the house.

The girls just love going out each day and checking on the growth. I think this will be a daddy/daughter activity for them to do. I have no knowledge about gardening but Trent actually took care of his parents when he was younger so he knows what he is doing. I get excited right along with him. I didn't think it could grow that fast.

We ordered some strawberries and I am really looking forward to having my own and not have to go buy them. We planted string beans, green onions, squash, zuccinii, cantaloupe, watermelon, corn, and tomatoes.
