Car LESS!

Our car lease is finally up and we turned in our Expedition last night, which was bitter sweet for me! Its been a great car but at the same time it was a stupid mistake to lease that vehicle in the first place. I had already driven an Expedition for 3 years before that and realized after I got it that I wanted a little more variety. Today is day one of being car-less and can I just say how grateful I am for transportation! When you don't have a car it takes some getting used to. It's only day one. Ask me in a few days to really see how I am doing! ha ha

I have gone almost down the stairs twice to the garage today to go somewhere and then I realize that I am without a car. I take it for granted like a lot of things in my life and have to realize that I can make due so my solution is too.......

find a cruiser bike with a bicycle trailer for Paetan and Easton to sit in

I have been meaning too for quite some time since we live out here a block from Coast Highway and the beach and we have great bike paths by our home. We rented a couple beach cruisers one Saturday so we could enjoy a family bike ride. I'm excited to get out into the fresh air and ride Paetan to school which is about 2 miles from my house. It will be good for me.

Plus as an added bonus for Trent I won't be tempted to jump into my car and go shopping because I am stranded! This could be a great lesson for me to help me overcome my need to go shop for things that I don't really need. I am going to take this experience for as long as I can and benefit from it and recognize all the blessings that I do have.
