Day Five
Woke up this morning intending to go find the Rio Grande Branch to go to sacrament meeting but failed because I didn't get the correct driving directions to the place. It is also Fast Sunday today so Trent and I fasted. We came back to the hotel and read some scriptures together and then we got a hold of Stephanie and Gene becuase they were leaving back home today and we wanted to make sure we got to say goodbye.
They came to our room and we went down to the courtyard area where the resort had set up some games to play on the grass so we hung out playing for a while. Then went up to the lobby and talked and then started talking about Brian Regan so we then went back to our room and Trent had on his laptop one of his Improv shows on his computer so we sat and watched that until they had to meet up with the shuttle to take them to the airport.
After we said goodbye to them we headed off the El Yunque which the Carribean National Rain Forest. The only one in the US. It was so magnificant to see god's creations and to just be amongst many spectacular trees. The park is very beautiful but its road to get up to the top is 13 miles long and it has curvy roads. So it took us about 1/2 hr just to get to the top and then on our way down we stopped at tower to overlook some of the park and that was the icing on the cake. I just wanted to stay up there all afternoon and just feel the breeze and take it all in!
We met a native couple there on top of the tower and they shared with us a place to eat Puerto Rican food. We hadn't tried it yet because the resturants at our resort are focused on American food so we wanted to find some native food or I should say Trent wanted too. So we drove down and found the place to eat. It was actually pretty good and that coming from my mouth is alot because I don't enjoy fried mexican like foods but this was a little different then what I had seen. I enjoyed this scone like bread the most.
We went back to the resort and just relaxed the rest of the evening and read books and worked on our goals.
