Our 3 year old!

Paetan has been looking forward to her birthday for a couple of months now because Reeghan tells her what she gets to do on her birthday. She tells her that she gets a party with her friends and has lots of cake and ice cream! Well that didn't even happen on her birthday, poor girl! I didn't really want to get a party together because she really has only one good pal and thats her cousin, Sydney. She has others from church but "her Sydney" is the most important person.

The day started with breakfast in bed but she woke up while we were making it for her so Trent took her back and layed down with her until I finished. Then we met up with our friends from church at the park to play and ended up staying for 2 hours. I got a little burned on my upper arm but it was a very nice day.

We then met up with Allie and Syndey at Trent's office and Sydney had a bag of presents for Paetan. She had necklaces, braclets, stickers, bubbles, pictures. It was a hit! The girls kept busy while we waited for Trent for 1.5 hours to finish up work so that we could go celebrate!

We headed down to the San Diego Zoo and Trent hadn't been there for 18 years! I had thought he had been with us before but now that I look back I went with other people and not him. Sad! They all had a great time and I of course wore the wrong shoes and after about 2 hours I was starting to feel it. If any of you have been to the zoo you know how many hills and stairs you need to climb so I was definatly worn out on my feet. But overall it was fun to see the excitement on the girls faces. We stayed for about 4 hours total and saw most of the zoo except for the tigers and Reeghan was pretty bumed about it but I told her their will be a next time because we have passes.

Afterwards we drove to Old Town to see if we could get some Mexican food! I am not a big fan of Mexican food but it was for Trent and Paetan. They both enjoy it and so we found a place and the wait was too long so we left. We just ended up going to Rubios and then after that we made a stop at Target for the fun part of toy shopping. It actually wasn't as bad as I was expecting. We didn't have melt downs or fights in the store. We had to be patient at times the experience was great when it came to toy shopping.

Paetan we hope you enjoyed your day even though it wasn't like what you sister had created in your mind. We love our bossy, nurturing, and protective little Paetan!
