Paetan Kindergaren Preparation

To begin preparations for Paetan to attend Kindergarten of course requires a physical to see how healthy she is and her progression. Each time we attend the doctors office its quite the ordeal especially when you now have a toddler running around. I had wished I just left Easton with someone. I know better then to take a child that doesn't need to see the doctor to the doctor! Obviously but somehow I did today being hopeful that it would be an in and out thing.

I was wrong of course and luckily their office is outside of the main office building with a seperate door so Easton and I hung out outside while Paetan watched Finding Nemo. Waited for 2 hours and then Paetan's name was finally called. She did well on her hearing but her sight in the right eye needs help. I've known this because each time we go out in the sunlight she has to squint her eyes and hold her arm above them just to see. She is very sensitive to the sun.

She is in the 90% for her height and 50% in her weight for her age which is no surprise! Once we get into the room its another 15-20 minute wait for Dr. Rosenfeld to come in and it takes her 5 minutes to do everything and its done! I don't understand the whole doctors office thing but it bugs! Then wait another 10 minutes to have the shots done which is a long time for a little girl to wait who is constantly asking the questions, "Is it going to hurt?, Will I die?, Did you have to have shots?, I don't want to go to Kindergarten anymore!" Loved those 10 minutes of trying to be positive and answering her questions the best I could about the 5 shots that she will be given!
