Paetan our 5 year old!

Our middle child, Paetan, otherwise known around here as Pae Pae, celebrated her 5th birthday today. I enjoy that children look forward to their birthdays and feeling so special on their day! Well we were driving in the car to take her to preschool and I asked her a question and of course started by saying her name and she quickly corrected me by saying, "Mom, my name is special girl today!" I thought that was so cute and clever!

The one thing that I wish to give to my girls especially is that they are special and beautiful and I try to tell that to them often because the world outside doesn't seem to think we are. I love that this little girl loves to be beautiful and make sure she looks nice and her hair is adorable. She is my girl to make compliments to others around her. Paetan always asks me if she looks 'stylish' I just hope that one day it doesn't go too far.

Another thing I have been teaching my girls about is the importance of being modest in their dress. Paetan is first to point out to me when we are out and about all the girls who are immodest. The girls have a few different shrugs they wear alot because of the style of dresses or shirts that are out their now but they always know what shrug they are going to wear with it.

I have a great love for this little girl and she has changed alot this last year and has really grown up out of the tiny girl phase into the little girl phase of life. She has taught me alot about patience like so many children do especially with potty training. Is it still okay that she yells still to this day when she has gone #2? I can tell when it happens because of the way she calls, Mom! She needs help still wiping and she is now 5. I guess that will be our next goal for her.

Paetan knows what she wants and will fight for it and she has to stand her ground being the middle child and tries so much to be like her older sister. I truly feel blessed to have this one in my life and I am pleased to say that I am her mother!

Happy Birthday Paetan!
Love Mom
