Hawaii - Day Three

We found a great ward to attend today. It was the Kailua 2nd Ward. It was a great meeting talking about adversity and missionary work. At the end the Bishop got up and said a few words and then invited a man to come up and share some thoughts with the ward family. At that moment I had this overwhelming feeling of the spirit and once he began to speak it was so moving and he continued to tell us that he had made some mistakes this past week. He pretty much asked the ward family for forgiveness and it just made me think of how much courage he had to have to do such a thing. He talked about what a "saint" mean't and his meaning was someone that falls down but gets right back up. I had never experienced that in a sacrament meeting before and it was a wonderful experience to witness.

The sunday school teacher was so hilarious she was this short native hawaiian lady that just made us laugh but at the same time was very spiritual. The ward members were so friendly and open about things to do and places to see and one even offered her kayak for us to use. That is what is so wonderful about the church because anywhere you go in the world you know you have people to turn to.

That night we went out on a sunday drive to the Pali lookout which was an amazing site to see the whole east side of the island. We got there just in time to see the sun go down. I forgot to bring my CAMERA!! So pictures will be from my sisters-in-law cameras.
