This morning the children woke up at 4am so they just sat and watched cartoons all morning until we left for the swap meet. Allie and I came upon a lady at the swap meet and she showed us what we could do with this fabric wrap and we were just in awe and they had one for the little girls as well. So we had a little dress-up hour. We each ended up with one and they would be so easy to make.
We headed off that afternoon to Kailua Beach just down the street from where we are staying and it was a beautiful beach but very windy. The children found a big mound of sand that they played on and also used it as a slide. It was quite the adventurous beach day first of all the guys decided to swim over to an island with their snorkel gear and Sean got stung by a jellyfish two times. Then as we were sitting on the beach a group of people started into the water and began some sort of baptismal ceremony for their group. Each one would go in and then get dunked and then they would all clap. It was very interesting to watch. Then a lady walks by us and informs us of the "red flag" warning which happened to be about jellyfish. So the children were in the water and not 5 minutes go by and we happened to see a red thing in the water so we got all the children out and Allie went out to see what it was. Then the group next to us came out to see as well and soon we had quite the crowd surrounding it examining it trying to determine that in fact it was a jellyfish. Then later on Trent finds a puffer fish after it was dead so it made it easier for him to get it out. He let everyone examine it and then walked it over to the trash.
