This morning I decided to take the children for a stroll around the downtown area. We walked about 9 blocks towards the City Hall building which the girls called the castle. We took some pictures their by the water fountain. It was a good opportunity to tell the girls about the importance of street safety especially when crossing the street.
The girls are so curious about the people around them because there are all types of people around them downtown. They ask the funniest questions and at times they can be so loud too. Why is it that kids can stare down someone but if an adult does it its like a crime? I just thought I would make that point. I am not saying that I do it of course but children I guess are just too cute to get mad at if they stare.
Later that afternoon we took the kids over to my friend Leah's house to play. They love to play with other kids toys and especially now because I only have one bucket of toys at the condo so they get bored. Leah has a girl named Erin which is 4 months older than Easton and she was being so cute to him and trying to kiss him on the head.
That night we drove down to Pleasant Grove and met up with Trent's Benjamin Franklin Academy classmate, Tiffany and her family for dinner. I guess you could say Trent had his own HS reunion too but just with one classmate out of 12 total. He graduated early because it was a private school.
After dinner we went to Pleasant Grove's Strawberry Day's which had carnival rides and a craft boutique. The ride lines were long and within the 20 minutes we were there it started to rain so we decided to leave.
We then met up with Trent's sister Erynne and we drove over to Trent's family friends the Crosby's to chat and talk with Erynne. It just so happened that their daughter, Sandi was in town with her 3 kids which are close in age of mine so the girls had a great time playing. They have 2 cats and Paetan was so scared of them and was just beside herself if she had to get near one of them. We had a fun time just laughing at her!
