Trent got tired of our signs being taken down and vandalized so he put up two video camera's in his sisters house just right below us and caught the thives! We reported it to the police and they want us to continue video taping the next 4 days to see if it happens again, which it will! These people are so full of hatred and just want attention!
This morning as a family we went around a neighborhood putting up door signs to the ones who said Yes on Prop 8 to remind them to be sure they do go vote. We parked our car in a driveway of a home that had a sign on the front yard that the bank owned it so we parked. A few minutes go by and we happened upon a lady who apparently is against it and the paper said she was for it so we began talking to her and she then asked if that was our car parked in that driveway. We told her yes and then she said for us to move it but Trent told her that is was bank owned and its fine for us to park there for a bit. She preceeds to tell us about the HOA and how she is going to get it towed and call the police. We just went along our way and told her goodbye.
Fifteen minutes go by and we are still walking the neighborhood and by that time we moved our car towards the other end of the neighborhood. We then see a police car pull up. I told Trent it must be for us so he went over to them and then we see the lady come down towards them too. The cop just told us to leave the area and as we left the lady told us that we were "polluting the gene pool" because we brought our children with us, to according to her, show them how much hatred we have towards gays! Haha she was one to talk herself! She is the one yelling at us and then are children asking why she is so upset and unfriendly? Then she goes and calls the police! Yeah talk about polluting! It was unnecessary!
Trent then told the cops about our vandalism in our yard and then they said that they would come by our house to check out the video. Trent is really enjoying this he gets to do a little investigation work and the cop came by and just said that we need to find out where this kid lives and then take more video because he will be back most likely in the next few days because its only going to get worse.
It was quite the eventful morning but we are trying hard to just be positive and friendly as much as we can towards these people. Its sad to see all that has been happening to us here in California who stand up for what it right and true!
Continue to pray and have faith that our society will not become one of hatred and aggression like we have seen in the last couple of weeks!

It is amazing to me that all of this is actually happening. I wonder what the world will be like when our kids are old enough to read their baby books and read about the times now. I don't even want to imagine. Scary! By the way, we had our Baby on October 13th. Cooper was 8lbs. 13oz. He is so sweet!
Tell me about it! I have never felt so strongly about something, politically. I'm so glad you and Trent are so awesome. Contention isn't good and I'm glad you tried to avoid it in the face of someone trying to provoke you.
Thank you guys for standing up for what is right. We are so excited that Prop 8 passed! Keep fighting the good fight:)

So what ever happened with the video? Did they catch the folks who were vandalizing the signs?
